Classified systems

Classical system

Composed of a traditional septic tank, this system is used in the majority of cases having the necessary space avaliable.

After the decantation in the tank, waste water is conveyed by gravity or pump to a filtration system.

According to the space available and soil type the filtration system can be:

  • Drainage trenches,

  • Vertical sand filter,

  • Infiltration mound

If the tank is based to less than 10 meters from the kitchen evacuations, a grease separator  will be necessary.

Compact system

Specially adapted to small spaces, the compact system is composed of a normal tank adapted to the size of house.

Filtration is composed of one or two (depending the size of the tank) filters full of coconut fibers.

After the decantation in the tank, wastewater are conveyed by gravity or lifting station to the filters.

This system is specially adapted to impermeable soils.

Treated water is consided by French law as processed and can be rejected in the nature.

The authorization of the mairie is necessary to reject it on public land.

If your land is located on a (nappe) all the system must be fixed to a concrete slab.

If the tank is based more than 10 meters from the kitchen evacuations, a grease separator will be necessary.

Micro station

There are two main types of microstation:

- Decantation by a compressed air system which creates optimum conditions for the development of bacteria.

- Aeration of bacteria by mechanical movement.

The quality of treatment permits the rejection into watercourses.

Permission from the mairie in necessary in the case of rejection on public property.

The rejected water can also be dissipated by a drainage on the property.
